Carlene is a registered acupuncturist focusing on women’s health, pain and relaxation. She treats everyone who is curious about what traditional Chinese medicine can do for overall health and well-being. Carlene utilizes a variety of modalities including acupuncture, acupressure, cupping, tui na massage, gua sha and electrical stimulation.

Carlene's journey began when she developed her own hormonal imbalance and struggle with amenorrhea.

She previously worked as a veterinary technician.  This job entailed many years in high stress situations which took a toll on her mental, physical and emotional well-being. Seeking refuge from stress, she started studying holistic nutrition and discovered the acupuncture program at Pacific Rim College. Shortly into her studies, Carlene experimented acupuncture sessions for herself finding the refuge she was looking for and ease with day to day life. Carlene found balance by utilizing a holistic approach with nutrition, movement and acupuncture.

Carlene’s goal is to make her patients feel welcomed and heard within their sessions. She has a deep appreciation for both Eastern and Western medicine and hopes to work with you to find the balance throughout your health journey.

Outside of the clinic Carlene enjoys hiking, strength training, biking, yoga, cooking, macramé and reading.

Carlene is registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA). She has also been the teacher assistant for the Orthopedic class at Pacific Rim College to fine tune her understanding about pain and motor point needling.
